Graduate interviews can be a daunting process and you can’t help but think about the questions the interviewer will ask you. Interviews have changed dramatically over the years as they are adopting to more realistic approaches. But don’t worry because I’ve got you covered! Here are some difficult questions which you may be asked at an interview.
1. What are your weaknesses?
Now, don’t feel like the interviewer is getting too personal because in reality they want you to be open and honest. You don’t have to answer in a specific way, just tell them the truth. You’re not the perfect candidate for the job and you don’t have to be either. Find a weakness and say what you are doing to work on it.
2. Why do you want to work with us?
You should always do your research before going for a job interview because it shows them that you know the services the company offers and who their competitors are. Be genuine in your answer because after all employers want to understand why your the best candidate for the role.
3. If you were a superhero, who would you be?
This question causes confusion people but employers want to know how your personality is like and your characteristics. Choose a superhero who reflects your strengths and just have fun with it.
4. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
This question is tricky because nobody knows where they’ll be in 10 years. You should highlight the direction in which you would see your career going in and opportunities the company can offer you through the years.
5. Why should we hire you?
The key to answering this question is to be honest. Why should the company hire you? What is it that you have which other candidates don’t have? What are you able to offer the company? Before going to the interview, plan on preparing an answer for this question in particular because this is what will get employers thinking.
You have to be ready for whatever questions interviewers will ask you. If the question seams very difficult to answer, don’t get nervous about it, just give it your best shot!
